Can I receive a notification when they have arrived safely at school or the academy?
Mobile Fence provides a Geo Fencing feature. By setting a radius for the area you wish to monitor, you can receive app notifications when your child enters or leaves that area. Please enable GPS on the smartphone for accurate location tracking. Note that errors may occur depending on the location environment.
1. Click the "Rule Settings" button for the child you wish to configure.
2. Turn on the "Location Tracking" feature in the <Location> tab.
3. Click the "Manage Notification Locations" button and add a notification location.
• Location Name: Enter a name to identify the notification location, such as "Going to school" or "Arriving at English academy."
• Notification Condition: Set it to trigger a notification when entering or leaving the area.
• Notification Time: It is recommended to set the time window appropriately, such as 6:30 PMโ7:15 PM on weekdays for English academy or 8:30 AMโ9:10 AM on weekdays for school. A wider notification time range increases battery consumption, so set only the necessary hours.
• Range (Radius): If the radius is too small, false notifications may occur depending on GPS reception. Accuracy may be lower, especially inside buildings, as location may be determined via carrier relay stations instead of GPS.
• Location Update Interval: Set the time interval for checking the location. Shorter intervals allow for faster detection of entry and exit but increase battery consumption.
Entering a notification location does not necessarily trigger an immediate notification. To receive notifications as quickly as possible upon entry or exit, you must set a shorter "Location Update Interval" to ensure frequent GPS checks. However, since frequent GPS checks increase battery usage, you can minimize battery consumption by limiting the "Notification Time" to only the necessary periods.
